Hello, I’m Jennifer and I offer online psychotherapy for individuals and relationships.

Whether you are suffering from trauma or difficult experiences that have taken your life off track, I believe it’s never too late or impossible to feel better and create the life you want. As a psychotherapist, I am dedicated to holding space and being present with you on your healing path.

Many years of experience on both sides of the couch, as a therapist and as a therapy client, inspire my passion for the work of psychotherapy. This is work I love and I consider it an honour to get to know people and accompany them in creating meaningful change.

Personal experiences of trauma and ongoing recovery inspire me to share what I’ve learned to support others who struggle. I carry hope, knowing first-hand that change and healing is possible. We are better able to heal when we believe we can, and deserve to heal.

Jennifer Chiba, MA, MFT, Art Psychotherapist

I was trained in Clinical Art Therapy at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles. For over 20 years I worked in both public and private settings providing psychotherapy to children, families, and individuals. I worked extensively with adolescents and their families as well as people who’ve experienced developmental/complex trauma. I also volunteered in advocating for suicide prevention by raising funds, supporting suicide survivors, breaking stigma, and raising awareness about support.

I’m proud of my survival and the work I’ve done in my personal healing journey. I continue to make sense of my lived experiences and mobilise for health and well-being. I find joy and hope in music, art, food, and my cats which are all foundational to my well-being. I’m supported by a loving community of family and friends who have been fundamental to my survival. I find inspiration, comfort and harmony in connection with nature and I often meditate, hike, and travel. I took all the photos on this website which reflect my love of nature and celebrate my Japanese heritage.
